Poland

When you think of Poland, what comes to your mind? Maybe the most famous Polish scientist Nicolaus Copernicus, or maybe Pope John Paul II? There are many Nobel Prize winners with Polish roots, like Marie Curie, writer Henryk Sienkiewicz or Nobel Peace Prize holder Lech Wałęsa. Poland also has beautiful nature, like Bialowieza Forest where European bisons live, and the world’s oldest working salt mine in Wieliczka, with marvellous walkable undergrounds. Do not forget to listen to Frédéric Chopin and watch the films of Krzysztof Kieślowski and Andrzej Wajda!
