North Macedonia

At the crossroads of many great civilizations, the Republic of North Macedonia has many historical landmarks in connections to the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman Empires. The country also has beautiful nature, with the world’s deepest underwater cave and one of the oldest lakes in the world – Lake Ohrid is 4 million years old! The Cyrillic alphabet was also invented here in the 9th century. The capital Skopje is thousands of years old, and is nowadays a vibrant city full of art and culture.
